ABOUT THE ARTIST     

When I retired from teaching six years ago, I had no idea that I would become so passionately consumed with the art of jewelry making.  Simple beading projects soon led to lampworking, glass fusing, fashioning precious metal clay, and learning the arts of a metal smith.  Each project takes on its own life, offering a new direction for expression. Sharing my work with others feeds my enthusiasm and encourages the process.

     Most of my handcrafted jewelry is made in a multi-step process combining semi-precious stones, pearls, sterling silver, and Swarovski crystals.  All pieces have the same attention to detail, being strung on stainless steel wire or silk, and either crimped or knotted onto beautiful toggles.  Earrings are available to match the necklaces and bracelets.  Other pieces are made with traditional metal smith techniques, often joining semi-precious cabochons with sterling silver. I construct each piece personally and feel that my reputation for high quality and excellentcraftsmanship, together with stylish designs, make my jewelry extremely desirable.
